This is the third and last part of that platter project using the pieces from that fused glass pattern bar made in the mesh melt project. If you haven’t already seen Part 1 of that platter project , or Part 2 I suggest you watch them first.

In this part, I’ll finish off with some coldworking and then the final slump into the platter.

Fused Glass Mesh Melt Platter, Project Tutorial Part 2

Making a Part Sheet Platter ‘Mirrored Mystery’

This glass fusing tutorial is about using a very interesting part sheet as the main feature in a simple curved platter. I love this part sheet and just had to make this. Sorry but no video for this one. All info is in this post.

So, I had this part sheet I made back a bit (see this post Making a Fused Glass Part Sheet), and the pattern just reminded me of an oriental carpet. That’s the inspiration. So here’s how I put it together.

Fusing a Part Sheet Platter ‘Magic Flying Carpet’

Wishful thinking on my part! Always wanted a magic flying carpet. Off to mysterious lands and all that. Well, this glass fusing tutorial for a platter, that includes a section from a part sheet, may not create a real flying carpet, but it satisfies something inside me.

Making a Green Bowl ‘The Emerald Path’
