This laser decal paper is suitable for creating glass and ceramic decals with your own images and a suitable printer. Those decals can then be fired onto fused glass and many types of glazed materials, such as ceramics, porcelain, other earthenware, and even enameled copper.
The decal sheets are Letter size (about 216 mm x 280 mm, 8.5″ x 11″).
The decals have been laboratory tested for food safety by the manufacturer. Projects can be oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe, depending on the surface material.
With this decal paper, you can fire illustrations, text, handwriting, photographs, and much more onto your work. The creative abilities are huge and exciting. With limited tools, you can easily and affordably create some amazing work.
This decal paper will work with traditional kilns and microwave kilns. The final image fires to a beautiful rich sepia tone and can be coloured using a number of techniques.
Images should be printed on this decal paper with a black-only laser printer that has high iron content in the toner. The brands HP and Canon carry a range of black-only laser printers, copiers, and fax machines that are suitable, but they must be black-only machines. If the machine has any ability to print colour it will not work. Other brands may work, but you will need to be sure it uses a ‘Micr’ type toner cartridge.
INSTRUCTIONS – The decal paper comes with manufacturers instructions regards firing temperatures and more, for glass, ceramics, and other materials.
