Making a Bubble Grid Platter

This fused glass tutorial video is all about managing bubbles in your glass art. This project intentionally creates bubbles in a uniform pattern, a regular grid.

This is a challenging project but please give it a go. The video covers everything you need to know, from glass selection through to the final full fuse of the finished piece.

The video description contains links to related videos, a chapters list with time stamps, and links to more resources.

I hope you find it useful and it helps you improve your skills.

Fused Glass Bubble Grid Platter

  1. Hi!
I love your work! There was a tutorial you did and now can’t find it! Its’ the one where glass melts through I think fiber paper, and the melting glass created “legs” that stretch from what is left of the glass plate, and when fusing is complete, the plate stands on (8-12?) of individual streams of glass.
Hope I explained that well! Doing art shows this season and would love to put it out there as a commission piece!
I am in process of creating my own website on GoDaddy. My Etsy site has my more simple items … I have started new creative and abstract designs of my own for art shows!
    Thanks!

    1. Hi Shelly. I don’t think that’s one of my pieces. I think I know what you mean but I’m sorry I don’t know who did that.

  2. Love the bubble glass plate…didn’t realize that the border would fused well enough to the center bubble glass without another full piece of tekta under it all. Beautiful!
